Time was seemingly infinite as a child. Hours stretched before you where there was nothing to do but play. Especially in the summertime. You could call up a friend and ask them to come over to play Dragon Ball Z, and they would. Because they had just as much free time as you did. You would have your mom order a pizza and drink sugary soda, and this was about as good as life could get. You didn't have to worry about getting up for work in the morning, or wonder if too much screen time was bad for you. We lived in blissful ignorance, and it was awesome. Certain eras of gaming stand out more than others, but the peak for you is whenever you were the right age for the stuff coming out. It was great to be a kid and play games that were made just for you and your age demographic. This feeling doesn't last forever. Eventually we grow up and grow a little out of touch. But these memes help take us back to that place, where an Xbox 360 was all you needed to have the perfect night.
